Changing States of Matter With Heat

On Friday, we did an experiment where students predicted, observed, and recorded changes in states of matter when adding heat. We had a blast creating art and learning about changes in states of matter!

Question: Does anyone see the rooster in Mrs. Turner’s class creation?

  1. Love the crayon creation!! I would love to do something like this with my 8th graders – even as a demonstration. How was this created?

    Thank you!

    • Our kids love doing this! We glued several crayons to a canvas and applied heat with a blow dryer. They get excited when the crayons start dripping and making a design.
