Math/Science Learning Goals for March 14-18

Math:  Elapse time

Students are expected to determine the answers to problem involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes using pictorial models or tools such as a 15-minute event plus a 30-minute event equals 45 minutes.

Math Homework:  Struggling Skills

  1.   Students who made below a 70 on the math benchmark will be given math homework based on skills they are struggling in.  It will be handed out on Monday and is due by Friday.  Any student who made above a 70 will not be given any math homework.
  2. All students regardless of benchmark grade need to be studying their multiplication facts.  A mixed multiplication test will be given on Friday.

Science Learning Goal:  Landforms

Students are expected to identify and compare different landforms.

    • Yes, a paper will be coming home today in the student’s yellow folders regarding benchmark scores. We will also send home actual test once we have gone over them.
